dads bday

so today is mah dads birfday
happy birfday dad!
i got my new phone too!
i was going through my pics from my old memory card
and realized
i miss the old days
the days when people would show up to park
and i could hang out with everyone
play loud music
but now
its all quiet
and not as fun
i miss a couple people
but anyways!
im not here to talk about my sorrows and memories
im here to make them.

so i think music is going down hill
like badly
lets take a look at hip hop first
kuz yes
i do like hip hop too.
at least the old stuff old stuff
as far as old rap/ hip hop goes
lets take a step back and step into the days of the notorious B.I.G.


this man was one of the few gods of hip hop.
he was a lyrical master that was killed too young.
he was up there with 2-PAC


B.I.G. killed at the age of 24
2-PAC killed at the age of 25
but a new age has ushered in
an age of auto tune
and over the top profanity
stuff like exhibit A

i mean come on music industry
produce better stuff!
i expected better
or exhibit B

really?
come on
seriously
the best ones out there now are probably...
nobody...
now onto rock
now i think that rock has had its rise and falls
starting at when it was at its best

gods of rock and metal.
easily one of the best groups out there
now this is what rock has turned to

it sounds the same through the whole song
but maybe that wasnt a fair judgment
here is another band that would do better

yay for angry blogging

oh jeez
okay,
this is my opinion.
let me start off by saying,
people know how passionate i am towards music
and how i feel about acting
and just about all the arts
correction,
how i feel about all the arts
but a blind man can tell you that the arts are slowly dying
especially music, art, and dancing
(shat, is that all of them?)
so when anyone has that glimmer of hope in the arts
(especially music [endorsed by Jacob])
i am the first to do my best to help them embrace it
like my friend, who i will not say her name
shes a good friend of mine and a lyrical writer,
a little shy to open up to showing me, as i write too
but she also has a passion to dance, and paint
thats three things that make her happy in this damn depressing world.
and with the BS that her family is going through
that's what she wants to do
that's what cheers her up
but with her parents telling her things like
"math and language arts is all you need in life"
that's pretty depressing to hear.
and knowing that your life is going to be withered away to something like that
something that you hate with a passion
that's sad.
i personally find that beyond sad
sad that parents, who are suppose to support us in everything we do
excluding drugs
are so blind to their own daughters passion and gift
that they force something else upon them
its misery that they are forcing.
why repress something like that?
and totally don't get me wrong,
math and all that other stuff is important
but forcing that upon someone is damn near condemning them to a 9 to 5
some people are fine with that
but for dreamers
that's not what we want
for any parents that are reading this
please
for the sake of all things holy and unholy alike
embrace your childs passion
embrace what they want.
hell
embrace and hug your damn child!
tell them you love them
and make sure there isn't a moment that they don't know it
you may not see eye to eye with them
but you know
maybe you need to try and see things their way
and let them learn from there own mistakes
not yours.
for gods sake!
let them live life themselves
not you living through them

oh jeez,
i seem to have stumbled upon a lonely old blog
time to post i guess
oh blog,
how it feels good to be back to blogging after a two month hiatus
so lets fill you in!
January,
yeah that is a good place to start
so lets start with the new year
that was kinda boring.
the whole month me and the band had been working our butts off for a party
might i say, we friggin rocked that party.
the party was 1/30/10
the band broke up 1/31/10
that was a downer on an epic scale
but you cant expect anything to last forever, now can you?
moving to February!
i dont remember most of it really.
oh!
captain eo came out!
again!

oh!
wait... no
oh i found out my ex is pretty bitter lol
ummmm
went to this pretty kool dance. had a good time. met someone (again) that i like
but thats for another post
